I powdercoated all of the remaining mounting plates (10 of them). None
of these are drilled and tapped, since I don't know which mounting brackets
people will be using. Hopefully they'll be smart enough to protect the
powdercoaitng when they drill and tap.

My second BMF01B should arrive today.

I drilled and tapped 3 more of the mounting plates. Two are for me, one
is for Terry (Pinecone). All 3 got powdercoated today. I also powdercoated
my BMF01B.
I mounted the new plates in my car, they fit fine. The Sable Black powder
is a nice finishing touch.
I ordered my second BMF01B from Summit.

I finished the first two mounting plates, which are presumably for Fred.

I started prepping 8 mounting plates. It was a lot of work due to the
laser powderizing the aluminum on the edges. I also drilled and tapped
2 of them or Fred, using #10-32 screws. I mounted his BMF01B's and cut
the screws to length. I've got one of his plates in the oven right now
with Sable Black powder on it. I wish I had bought more cap screws to
hold the plates; I only bought 2, so I can only bake 1 plate at a
time.

I picked up the laser-cut mounting plates from Randy.

I removed the botched rivet nut from the driver's seat. It took me 2
hours of very careful grinding with the Dremel and various bits, but
it's completely out. I'll install a new rivet nut.
I started fabricating another fiberglass piece, with the same dimensions
as the laser-cut piece.

I mounted the BMF01B on the temporary fiberglass mounting plate, and
tested fitment of Fred's BB250B in the car. With the seat lowered all
of the way, it still clears my floor with cocomat, and is still removable
and installable.

I installed M8 rivet nuts in the passenger seat. I took the seat out to
do it. I have a piece of scrap fiberglass to mount the bracket, but I
won't be using it long-term. I did the CAD work for a simple piece of
aluminum with radiused ends. It'll go out to the laser-cutting shop.

I ordered the correct band clamp for the HG100C: BB100B. It probably won't
be her until at least Wednesday.
I started fabricating a piece to go across the front of the seat, using
1/4" thick scrap electrical-grade fiberglass I had laying around. I cut
it 12" long, and it's 2.5" wide. I won't drill holes in the seat for
rivetnuts until I know this is all goung to fit and still permit me to
lower the seat all the way. Eyeballing with a Rust-Oleum industrial
rattle can (same diamter as the HG100C, and 9.5" tall), it looks like
there will be no issues. At this point it all boils down to the dimensions
of the BMF01B bracket. Guessing by measuring some pictures, it looks
like the extinguiser will be 1.25" away from the fabricated piece.
It looks like the BMF01B is 4.375" long. Wild guess: the BMF01B is
less than 2.25" wide.

I ordered an H3R HG100C, BB250B and BMF01B from Summit. My mistake,
I meant to order the BB100B. :-(
